easy sandbox

Like most toddlers our little guy is a fan of playing in the dirt.  We had been talking about getting him a sandbox but we were unsure if we wanted a big one in the yard and had heard that they can attract ants and be difficult to keep clean.

We decided something smaller would be nice so my husband went out and got a plastic storage bin with a top from Target and some play sand.  Voila we have a little table top sand box that can be used on our sun porch or outside.  It has a top to secure on when it is not in use and it is a hit!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

  3. This is GENIUS!! My boys 4 and 2 are gonna go bonkers when I tell them about this. We have a lot of barn cats in our area, so a sand box was out of the question. Thank you so much for sharing this. Found you on Not JUST a Housewife's linky party today. I'd love for you to stop by my little sapling of a blog...maybe I'll have something that peaks your interest. Thanks so much - heather

  4. We've done that at our home too and it is so much easier than the big plastic sandboxes! Such a great idea and we are so glad you shared it with us at Inspiration Friday!
