a little less impossible

My plan for the Imagine the Impossibilities challenge was to draw more.  I talked about it here.  I'd love to say I've been drawing everyday but I haven't.  I expected it would be slow going to make this a priority in my day and that has proven to be true.  My goal is to start drawing again just to enjoy it.  I used to love to draw and somewhere along the line it became something I only did for a gift or a project but I never pick up a pencil just for the sheer enjoyment of it.

I started drawing my little guy while he reclined on the couch sucking his thumb and relaxing but then he got interested and picked up a red colored pencil to "help Mama"

He was so happy to color with me and I found the end result kind of wonderful.

I said I would count every little doodle so this "drawing" I did on the placement at Friendly's counts too right?

I'm linking up to show that I'm working to make my impossible possible.  Baby steps people, I'm getting there!

  1. Wow how sweet of your little one to help you!
Maybe we should make a support pact..... you draw more and I'll paint more! You are very talented! And I look forward to seeing more of your artwork!

  2. How precious! I love how that picture really catches this moment in time for you and your family....him sucking his thumb, you admiring him, his pencil marks...too perfect!

  3. What a gorgeous sketch of your little one. It's little moments like this that we all remember forever

  4. Baby steps is the way to go. I'm glad you see that you got started...and are enjoying it!! Thanks so much for linking up to the challenge! Karah

  5. You are a good mom - letting your son color with you! It's a great sketch - you should frame it! Thanks so much for linking to our challenge!

  6. I've left a comment here earlier in the week and don't understand why it never showed?

I told you how much I admire your talent and yet how you realize its all about the kids!

Thanks so much for joining our Impossibilities challenge!

  7. I’m sorry I’ve not visited your Impossibility Challenge post before now – this working lark does get in the way of real life !!! What a talented lady you are! I wish I could draw that well.
Congratulations on making your impossibility possible!

  8. I just wanted to stop by and say good for you! The journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step!
